Removing and Replacing Components
Servicing the Computer Module '
'lb Remove a F'unction Card
The procedure for removing one of the function cards from the Computer Module is described
in the following steps.

Remove any cables connected the edge of the card, if necessary using the
flat-tipped screwdriver.
Use a cross-tipped screwdriver remove the captive screw on the top edge of the
card that secures it to the computer module.
Rotate the screw counter-clockwise so until it is clear of the computer module (less
than ten tunes).
Remove the card using the board extractor tool (HP M1046-44901) attached to the
rear of the computer module.
'lb Replace a Function Card
The procedure for replacing one of the function cards is described in the following steps.
Step 1 Locate the card-edge in to the appropriate slot in the computer module.
Step 2 Slide the card into the computer module until it locates into the connector on the
backplane.
Step 3
Push firmly into the connector.
Step 4
Using a cross-tipped screwdriver, tighten the captive screw at the top of the card
to secure it to the computer module.
Note
Refit the metal guard (if appropriate) and the module rack.
