Removing and Replacing Components
Servicing the Display Module
'lb Remove the Plastic Bezel
Caution
Ensure that the power on/off switch is in the OF'F position before attempting to
remove or replace the plastic bezel.
The procedure for removing the plastic bezel is described in the following steps.
Step 1
Place the display module on its back, with its feet towards you.
Step 2
Using the cross-tipped screwdriver, slacken the two securing screws on the bottom
edge of the bezel.
Step 3
Using a screwdriver, spring the plastic tabs towards you and tilt the front of the
bezel an inch clear of the screen.
Step 4
Remove the ribbon cable connector from the human interface board in the bottom
of the bezel. Also remove the GND cable clamp from the metal cabinet.
Step 5
Lift the bezel clear of the screen.
Step 6
Remove the plastic stud for the power switch.
To Replace the Plastic
Bezel
The procedure for replacing the plastic bezel is described in the following steps.
Step 1
Place the display module on its back, with its feet towards you.
Step 2
Locate the four plastic tabs at the top of the bezel into the holes in the top of the
display module. Lower the bottom edge of the bezel to within two inches of the
screen.

Connect the ribbon cable to the human interface board in the bottom of the bezel,
noting the orientation of the keyed connector.
Connect the GND cable clamp to the metal cabinet.
Replace the plastic stud on the power switch.
Lower the bezel on to the screen, making sure to align the hole in the bezel with
the plastic stud of the power switch. Push firmly so the plastic lugs snap on to the
display module.
Using the cross-tipped screwdriver, tighten the two securing screws on the bottom
edge of the bezel; lower the front of the display so that it stands upright.
