Connecting Peripherals
'lb Connect a Printer Using the Spooler
1. Connect one end of the printer cable to the RS-232 interface on the rear of the printer.
2. Connect the other end of the printer cable to the RS-232 Port #4 on the rear of the printer
spooler.
3. Connect the printer power cord from the ac connector at rear of printer to main power.
4. Connect the transformer/power cord from the ac connector on rear of print spooler to main
power.
5. For each HP Component Central Monitor (maximum of three), perform the following steps:
a. Connect one end of printer cable to RS-232 Port #l, #2, or #3 on the rear of the printer
spooler.
b. Connect the other end of the printer cable to the top RS-232 connector on the rear of the
computer module.
