Patient
Location
Patient Location is provided via an interface between the CCM and the Fisher Berkeley
SmartLinkTM system. When troubleshooting the interface, problems should be isolated between
the SmartLinkTM system and the CCM. You can use the Patient Location Status Log to help you
do this. The Patient Location Status Log lists errors pertaining to patient location and include
error messages for the SmartLinkTM and the CCM. A second set of messages occur in the CCM
display during normal system operation.

the Monitor Setup window. This log gives you error messages on the operation of the CCM and
the SmartLinkTM systems. Each error message tells you whether the CCM or SmartLinkTM has
generated the message. If a CCM error message is logged the corrective action is to:
1. Identify the error message in the following table.
2. Take the recommended corrective action.
3. Check to see if the problem is fixed. If it is, you are done. If it is not, and CCM error
messages are still being logged, perform the general troubleshooting procedures found in this
chapter. If the problem is not fixed and SmartLinkTM errors are being logged, print the log,
and give it to your Fisher-Berkeley service representative.
