Prepasing the Site
Preparing and Terminating Cables
Assemble faceplate and connectors to wallbox as follows:
1. Assemble faceplate to wallbox using the jackscrew with one flat washer on the front on the
faceplate and one lock washer and nut on rear of faceplate as shown in the figure below.
Caution Tighten securely to prevent loosening of nuts
during
mating and unmating of
connectors.
2. Use screws provided with faceplate for assembling the faceplate to the wallbox.

Faceplates and Fhceboxes
Where remote installations are required, using cables over 3m in length the terminated cables
must be assembled into faceplates and faceboxes in one of the following ways:
n
Attaching connectors to faceplates
n
Mounting faceplates into wall boxes
n
Mounting faceplates into F'aceboxes (HDLC and HP-HIL)
Note Rack cables up to 6m long, and analog cables of 4m in length may be used

without connection into faceplates.
