Installing A-Option Mounts
'lb Install the Mounting Plate
The mounting plate (M1181A #A31) can be used for mounting a Computer Module flush to the
wall, or for securing equipment to carts and shelves. In each case, the plate is held in place
by four screws. Slots in the top of the mounting plate accept the equipment feet, and the
equipment is held in place by using the locking cam mechanism.
The procedure to mount the Computer Module on a wall is detailed in the following steps:
Step 1 Secure the mounting plate to the wall using four screws.
Step 2
Stand the Computer Module on the floor on its blank rack, with the feet towards
the wall.
Step 3
Check the Locking Cam arm is pointing vertically from the rear of the Computer
Module.

Hold the uppermost edge of the Computer module and tilt towards the wall to
allow you to slide your hand under the lower edge (blank rack).
Lift the Computer Module vertically and align its feet in the slots of the Mounting
Plate.
Step 6

Lower the Computer Module so that the feet engage in the slots to take the
weight. If the Computer Module is not held firm, lift out and repeat step 5.
Rotate the Locking Cam arm clockwise to lock the Computer Module into place.
This stops the Computer Module from being lifted off the plate.
