lkrminating Contacts to Connectors and Faceplates.
1. If you are using factory crimped contacts, remove the heatshrink tubing protecting the pins,
and use another piece of shrink tubing 0890-0291 to cover only the shield so that the leads
are exposed.
2. Visually inspect pins for loose or defective crimp contacts.
3. Cut and re-terminate any defective crimp contacts.
4. Assemble connector to faceplate using hardware kit 1252-1085 which is included with the
cable assembly. (See "Faceplate Assemblies" in next section for illustration and instructions.)
5. Using the Amp insertion tool included with tool kit, insert the contacts into the connector
housing. (See connection diagram below). If using the Amp 91285-1 insertion tool, use the
green tip for insertion and extraction. s
6. Assemble faceplate to wallbox using screws included with faceplate.
