Troubleshooting the System
Selecting Service Mode
Note
Each UNIT code is followed by a number. This number is a private subcode,
used for internal purposes on the central station (Patient Information Center).
It is not significant for service purposes.
Additional lines are displayed underneath the device line when a device is assigned to a central
station (as in the previous example). This does
NOT
signify that the central station is physically
connected to the same branch as the device.
When a device is assigned to a central station, the letter "C" or "R" is displayed between the
UNIT and
REL
columns for the central station.
n
A "C" indicates that the device is also assigned to an arrhythmia system.
l
An "R" indicates that recordings can be made at the central station.
BEL
This column shows the protocol release of each device on each branch.
ERR
This column contains hexadecimal error codes for each device on the Network.
If the code is "OO", no errors are present. Otherwise, error code diagnosis is carried out as
follows:
1. Convert the two digit hexadecimal error code to an eight digit binary code.
2. Compare the resulting binary code with the error code chart below:
The extreme left digit of the binary code, is digit number "7", the second from the left is
number "6" and so on.
Each "1" in the binary code corresponds to an error.

STATUS
This column provides information about the SDN state of each device. An example status line
would be: '.
SDN, ON, NET,T
This shows that the device is connected to the SDN Network.and that it is on-line. The "T"
indicates that the device is in test mode. If the device has only just been connected to the
network, or has only just been powered-up, the letters "ST" (for "START.) appear here.
