Responding
to Software
Errors
HIGH error codes and those MEDIUM and LOW error codes noted as exceptions may indicate a
software defect. Although you may not be able to permanently correct such a software defect
on-site, you may be able to temporarily clear the resulting error condition by taking corrective
action in the following order:
1. Try hot start (switch system off and on). Note that a HIGH error code will have already
generated a hot start.
2. Try cold start (change operating mode or switch system off for more than 3 hours). Note
that a cold start will unassign arrhythmia, delete configurable arrhythmia information, and
erase alarm history.
3. Reload the Arrhythmia CPC software and reprogram the EEPROM settings on the
Utility CPU Board, using factory defaults See the
HP CPC Programming
ZboZ Miinml
(M2300-90046) for more information.
4. Replace the Arrhythmia CPC in Slot 8 and program the replacement CPC.
5. Reload the Operating System software on the CPC in Slot 22.
