RS232/RS422 Dual Interface Card
The RS232RS422 dual interface card is the interface between the system and external devices,
using the RS232 or the long distance RS422 standard. This allows for connection of equipment
with an RS232 interface. The port wili be driven from firmware associated with the CPC.

Use the upper connector (port 1) to output RS232 information to printers.
Specification
Ports. Two independent ports.
Baudrate. Possible baudrates are:
150 Bd, 300 Bd, 600 Bd, 1200 Bd, 2400 Bd, 4800 Bd, 9600 Bd, 19200 Bd, and 38400 (2nd port
only).
TX/RX Byte order.
Order of byte TX/RX (High/Low, Low/High).
RS232 Drive. ON = +
12V, OFF' = -12V.
KS422 Drive. OFWON
= as recommended with RS422 standard, 0 to +5V differential.
RS232/RS422 Selection.
Software selected.
Hardware Elandshake.
Available handshake lines are DTR, RTS,CTS, DCD, DSR and RI.
Handshake lines are. user selectable. Configuration of this card is performed with a MPB
message.
