DTC 4: A Short in the Outside Air
Temperature Sensor Circu it
1. Remove the outside air temperature sensor {see
page 2'l -401.
2. Test the outside air temperature sensor (see page
21-4O1.
ls the resistance within the specifications shown
on the graph?
YES - Go to step 3.
NO Replace the outside air temperature sensor.l
3. Disconnect the climate control unit 30P connector.
4. Check for continuity between the No. 7 terminal of
the climate control unit 30P connector and body
g r o u n d .
CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT 3OP CONNECTOR
Wire side of female terminals
ls there continuity?
YES.- Repair short to body ground in the wire
between the climate control unit and the outside air
temperature sensor.l
NO Substitute a known-good climate control unit,
and recheck. lf the symptom/indication goes away,
replace the original climate control unit,l
DTC 5: An Open in the Sunlight Sensor
Circu it
1. Disconnect the sunlight sensor 2P connector.
2. Disconnect the climate control unit 30P connector.
3. Check for continuity between the No. 6 terminal of
the climate control unit 30P connector and the
No. 1 terminal of the sunlight sensor 2P connector.

ls there continuity?
YES Go to step 4.
NO - Repair open in the wire between the climate
