Door Key Cylinder Switch Test

Remove the door panel (see page 20-4).
Disconnect the 3P connector from the key cylinder
switch.
Wire side of
Iemale terminals
Check for continuity between the terminals.
. There should be continuity between the No.2
and No. 3 terminals when the door key cylinder
switch is in the LOCK position.
. There should be continuity between the No. 1
a n d N o . 2 t e r m i n a l s w h e n t h e d o o r k e y c y l i n d e r
s w i t c h i s i n t h e U N L O C K p o s i t i o n .
lf the continuity is not as specified, replace the
switch.

Security Horn Test
Remove the front bumper (see page 20-87).
Disconnect the 1P connector from the horn (under
the right headlight).
Test the horn by connecting battery power to the
terminal (A) and grounding the body ground (B).
The horn should sound.
lf the horn fails to sound, check tor a faulty
mounting bolt. lf the bolt is OK, replace the horn.
