6. Install steering stiffener B with the gearbox
attaching nuts. Then tighten the gearbox attaching
nuts and bolts at steering stiffener A to the
soecified torque values.

8. on the passenger's side of the gearbox, check for a
c l e a r a n c e ( B ) o f 3 m m ( 0 . 1 2 i n ) o r m o r e b e t w e e n
the steering rack guard (A) and boot guard (C). lf
the steering rack guard is in contact with the boot
guard, or if the clearance is less than 3 mm (0.'12 in ),
adiust the steering rack guard to the correct
Dosition.
9. Installthe body stiffener (A).
