NOTE: Refer to the Exploded View as needed during

t h i s p r o c e d u r e .

1. Remove the steering gearbox (see page 17 -32).

2 . R e m o v e c y l i n d e r l i n e s ( A ) f r o m t h e g e a r b o x .

Drain the fluid from the cylinder fittings by slowly

moving the steering rack back and forth.

4 . U n b e n d t h e l o c k w a s h e r ( A ) .

5. Hold the bracket {A) with one wrench, and unscrew

both rack ends (B) with another wrench. Remove

the lock washers.
