Wiring Precautions
Some of the SRS wiring can be identified by a special
yellow outer covering, and the SRS connectors can be
identified bv their yellow color.
Observe the instructions described in this section.
. Never attempt to modify, splice, or repair SRS wiring.

the harness.
Be sure to install the harness wires so they do not get
Dinched or interfere with other Darts.
M a k e s u r e a l l S R S g r o u n d l o c a t i o n s a r e c l e a n , a n d
grounds are securely fastened for optimum metal-to-
metal contact. Poor grounding can cause intermittent
problems that are difficult to diagnose.

Precautions for Electrical Inspections
. W h e n u s i n g e l e c t r i c a l t e s t e q u i p m e n t , i n s e r t t h e
probe of the tester into the wire side of the connector.
Do not insert the probe of the tester into the terminal
side of the connector, and do not tamper with the
connector.
Use a U-shaped probe. Do not insert the probe
fo rc ibly.
Use specified service connectors in troubleshooting.
