Fuser Temperature Monitoring

The fuser temperature also rises considerably when the xenon flash lamp is activated.
Therefore, the lamp thermistor (LTS) is employed for fuser temperature monitoring
purposes. When a temperature of 80 C or higher is detected by the thermistor, the
printer stops printing operations and cools the fuser with the lamp cooling blower and
fuser reflector plate cooling fan (FCF). The printer waits until the detected
temperature falls below 80 C, and then goes into the on-line idling state to become
ready to resume printing.
