Adjusting the Feed Motor

To adjust the feed motor, perform the following steps:
1. (The printer should not yet be loaded with paper.) Turn the MPU board
potentiometer VR1 completely clockwise.
2. Using the engine checker, run the fan–fold paper straight test. The menu path is
BASIC MENU, BASIC OPERATION, FANFOLD PAPER, STRAIGHT. Press
START to start the test.
3. Turn VR1 counter–clockwise until LD1 on the MPU board emits a steady light.
4. Using the engine checker, press STOP to stop the test.
5. Load fan–fold paper into the printer.
6. Repeat steps 2, 3, and 4. Step 3 requires some fine tuning, due to the loaded
paper.
