Setting Power Supply Voltage

This procedure assumes the following:
The power switch is OFF.
The power cord is unplugged.
The printer front upper cover is open.
The right rear cover is not attached.
You have installed the drum, developing unit, and toner cartridge.
You have loaded paper (fan-fold and/or cut-sheet).
You have installed the diskette(s).
Following printer setup, the AC voltage on the main fuser blower fan should be
measured during printing, and the DC power supply switch (SW1) changed if
necessary. If it is not set properly, the cooling fans for the power supply and fuser
unit will not operate as designed. This may result in overheating, a blown fuse, or
cracked or broken glass on the fuser unit.
The power supply voltage switch is usually pre-set at the factory to match the AC
line voltage of the intended destination. You should check the voltage setting and the
AC line voltage before you turn on the printer.
Be sure the printer power is OFF before you slide the voltage switch.
Vergewissern Sie sich, daß die Stromzufuhr zum Drucker auf AUS geschaltet
ist, ehe Sie den Spannungsschalter betätigen.
To determine the voltage setting, perform the following steps:
1. Measure the AC line voltage that will supply power to the printer.
2. Move the no-fuse breaker lever to the OFF position.
