12 – Paper Jam at Fuser (C)
1. If there is paper remaining in the fuser section (near sensor EPS4), remove it.
2. Ensure that the EPS4 lever is in the up position.
3. Ensure that the transfer unit is properly installed.
4. Check the EPS4 sensor.
a. Put the positive lead of the digital multimeter on pin 3 of CN8 on the MPU
b. When the EPS4 lever is down, measure the voltage; 5V is normal.
c. When the EPS4 lever is up, measure the voltage; 0V is normal.
If the sensor is normal and the fault still occurs, replace the MPU board.
Otherwise, replace the EPS4 sensor after checking the harness.
NOTE: You can lower the transport unit and move the sensor lever back and forth,
