Service Level Page Counts

The user should maintain a record of all maintenance performed on the printer.
Maintenance log sheets are provided in Appendix C, Maintenance Logs of the
User's Manual. The user should photocopy these and keep them in a binder near
the printer. The logs should be used each time printer maintenance is
performed, either by the user or the service technician.
The User Maintenance option in the Diagnostics configuration menu is used to reset
the service level page count each time the user completes a level of preventive
maintenance. Levels A, B, and C are the user's responsibility.
The Tech Service option in the Diagnostics configuration menu is used to reset the
service level page count each time preventive maintenance is completed by a service
technician. Levels D through G are the responsibility of the service provider.
When the page count reaches an increment of one of the cleaning intervals listed
below, the control panel displays one of the following messages:
Service Level X represents the level of service required:
Level A
Level B
Level C
Level D
Level E
Level F
Level G
Any service level includes all levels above it. For example, at 150,000 pages, Level B
and Level A service should be performed. At 900,000 pages, Level F and Level D
service should be performed.
