Installing Diskettes

The printer contains two diskette drives, as shown below. Certain printer emulations

require the use of the second disk drive. When two drives are required, drive A holds

the operating system diskettes and drive B holds the font diskettes.

To install the operating system diskette, follow these steps:

1. Make sure the power is off.

2. Make sure the diskette is not write-protected. The tab must be closed.

Do not bend or touch exposed areas of the diskette. Keep the diskette away from

magnetic fields. Do not store in especially cold (50 F) or hot (120 F) areas.

3. Insert the operating system diskette into drive A. If applicable, insert the font

diskette into drive B (depending on the printer emulation).
