13 – Paper Jam at Exit (D) – Straight Output (face–up)
1. If there is paper remaining in the paper output section (near sensor EPS1),
remove it.
2. Ensure that the EPS1 lever is in the up position.
3. Check the EPS1 sensor.
a. Place the rotary switch in the "0" position on the MPU board.
b. Put the positive lead of the digital multimeter on pin 17 of CN6 on the MPU
c. Push the EPS1 lever down and measure the voltage; about 5V is normal.
d. Raise the EPS1 lever up and measure the voltage; about 0V is normal.
If voltage is not normal, replace the EPS1 sensor after checking the harness.
NOTE: Possible causes for an EPS1 (straight) paper jam:

CHECKLIST:
PAPER OUTPUT SECTION (EPS1)
EPS1 LEVER
board, and the negative lead on the SG.
Paper may be hitting the paper guide.
Paper may be hitting the ceiling cover on the exit side.
There may be too much paper accumulated in the output tray.
The solenoid actuator attachment may be defective.
