03 – Paper Jam at Drum (B)
1. Ensure that the transport belt activates during power–on. If it does not activate,
see "09– Transport Motor Fail" on page 7–41.
2. Check the EPS4 sensor.
a. Put the positive lead of the digital multimeter on pin 3 of CN8 on the MPU
b. Push the EPS4 lever down and measure the voltage; 5V is normal.
c. Raise the EPS4 lever up and measure the voltage; 0V is normal.
If voltage is not normal, replace the EPS4 sensor after checking the harness.
3. Check the vacuum fan.
a. Put the positive lead of the digital multimeter on pin 5 of CN8 on the MPU
b. Measure the voltage, which should be about 24V in printer idling condition.
c. If voltage is not normal, reset the printer and recheck it. If it still is not
