Interface signals
The following types of signals are sent and received between the I/O board and the
High–voltage power supply unit.
Signal
Main charger remote ON/OFF (+HV1 REM)
Main charger current control (+HV1 CONT)
Pre–charger remote ON/OFF (+HV2 REM)
Transfer charger remote ON/OFF (–HV REM)
Separator charger remote ON/OFF (HV3 REM)
Cleaning bias remote ON/OFF (–V REM)
Developing bias remote ON/OFF (DRL REM)
Developing bias control (DRL CONT)
Alarm (HV–UN ALM)
Signal system ground (SG)
Drive power supply (+24V)
Drive system ground (PG)
Main charger remote ON/OFF
This is the signal to turn the current (constant current) to the main charger on or off.
The output value of this is variable between +100–1000µA, by the external input
voltage (main charger current control signal) 0–+12V.
Main charger current control
This signal controls the current sent to the main charger, based on the observation
data of the drum surface potential sensor.
Pre–charger remote ON/OFF
This is the signal to turn the current sent to the pre–charger on or off. The output
value of this is variable between +20–200µA, by variable resistor (B type).
Transfer charger remote ON/OFF
This is the signal to turn the current (constant current) sent to the transfer charger on
or off. The output value of this is variable between –100–300µA, by variable resistor
(B type).
