7. Check the I/O board.
a. Remove J24 from CN24 on the I/O board.
b. Put the positive lead of the digital multimeter on pin 11 of CN24, and the
c. Measure the voltage, which should be about 24V when the power is turned
d. Connect J24 to CN24 on the I/O board.
e. Check pin 12 of CN24 for 24V.

g. Place the rotary switch on the MPU board in position "E".
h. Turn the power ON.

8. Check the lamp thermistor (LTS).
a. Allow the temperature of the fuser to cool well (about 25 C).
b. Put the positive lead of the digital multimeter on pin 6 of IC33 on the I/O
c. Measure the voltage, which should be 3.7 0.5V.
d. Remove connecting jack J22 from the I/O board CN22.
e. Measure the resistance between pins 1 and 2 on the side of the J22. If the

ON. If voltage is normal, go to Step 7d.
If the voltage is not normal, check for 24V on pins 7 and 8 of CN31 on the
I/O board.
If voltage is 24V, replace the I/O board.
If voltage is not 24V, replace the DC Power Supply board.
If voltage is 24V, go to Step 7f.
If voltage is not 24V, replace the FCF after checking the wire harness.
Turn the power OFF.
When the main blower activates, verify that the voltage on pin 12 of CN24
becomes about 0V.
If voltage does not become about 0V, replace the I/O board.
