13 – Paper Jam at Exit (D) – Cut–sheet Face–down Output
1. If there is paper remaining in the paper output section (near sensor EPS2),
remove it.
2. Ensure that the EPS2 lever is in the up position.
3. Check the EPS1 sensor.
a. Place the rotary switch in the "0" position on the MPU board.
b. Put the positive lead of the digital multimeter on pin 2 of CN7 on the MPU
c. Push the EPS2 lever down and measure the voltage; about 5V is normal.
d. Raise the EPS2 lever up and measure the voltage; about 0V is normal.
If voltage is not normal, replace the EPS2 sensor after checking the harness.
NOTE: Possible cause for an EPS2 (cut–sheet face–down) paper jam: Paper may be
