11 – Paper Jam at Drum (B)
1. If there is paper remaining in the separator section (near sensor EPS3), remove it.
2. Ensure that the EPS3 lever is in the up position.
3. Ensure that the transfer unit is properly installed.
4. Check the EPS3 sensor.
a. Put the positive lead of the digital multimeter on pin 1 of CN8 on the MPU
b. When the EPS3 lever is down, measure the voltage; 5V is normal.
c. When the EPS3 lever is up, measure the voltage; 0V is normal.
If the sensor is normal and the fault still occurs, replace the MPU board.
Otherwise, replace the EPS3 sensor after checking the harness.
NOTE: You can lower the transport unit and move the sensor lever back and forth,
