2. Open the front cover. Use a toner vacuum to remove loose toner particles, paper
dust, and other debris from the paper input and exit areas, front cover, waste
toner area, paper transport area, and paper stacker input area. Then use a damp
tissue to further clean the waste toner area and the paper transport area. Refer to
the appropriate topics in this chapter for illustrated instructions.
Recommended vacuum cleaner models are:
3. If the printer is equipped with the cut-sheet option, clean the pickup roller and the
reverse roller inside the cut paper unit, using the Toraysee cloth. See pages 4–38
and 4–40 for illustrated instructions.
If the desired print quality is not attained after cleaning the printer, the chargers may
need to be replaced.
