3.19 PAPER SIZE ERROR

The size of the paper loaded in the paper tray is different than the paper size stored in NVRAM.
Step
1
Inspect the following components.
• Feeder Assy (PL3.1.19)
• Roll Regi Metal (PL5.1.5)
• Roll Regi Rubber (PL5.1.7)
• Sensor Photo:Regi (PL5.1.12)
• Clutch Assy Feed (PL3.1.37)
• Clutch Assy Turn (PL3.1.2)
• Option Feeder Assy (PL11.1.1)
• Cassette Assy (PL2.1.1)
• Switch Size on the PWBA Size1 (PL9.1.19)
• PWBA HKB26 MCU (PL9.1.13)
• Harness Assy Feeder (PL9.1.13)
• PWBA HKB PS (PL10.1.17)

ACTUATOR CST (PL21.1.19) ANALYSIS
Remove the Cassette Assy (PL2.1.1). Inspect the combination
of the Actuator CST.
Does the combination of the Actuator CST show the cor-
rect combination for the paper size present in the cas-
sette?

SWITCH SIZE on the PWBA SIZE 1 (PL3.1.36) ANALYSIS
Inspect the Switch Size as you insert the Cassette Assy into
the Feeder.
Does the Switch Size reflect a switch combination that
corresponds to the size of the paper loaded in the Cas-
sette Assy?

ACTUATOR REGI (PL5.1.10) ANALYSIS
Does the Actuator Regi expose the sensing point of the
Sensor Photo:Regi when a sheet of paper strikes the actu-
ator, and does the Actuator Regi shield the sensing point
of the Sensor Regi when there is no paper striking the
actuator?

SENSOR PHOTO:REGI (PL5.1.12) ANALYSIS
Use SENSOR/SWITCH CHECK to check the Sensor
Photo:Regi.
Does the Sensor Photo:Regi function correctly and incre-
ment the displayed SENSOR CHECK number each time
you actuate it?
