6.3 ROS Assy Failure

Step
1
INITIAL ANALYSIS
Inspect the following components.
• PWBA HKB26 MCU (PL10.1.13)
• PWBA HKB PS (PL10.1.17)
• PWBA HKB 5VDC (PL10.1.14)
• ROS Assy (PL8.1.9)
• Harness Assy ROS (J21-J211, J212, J213) (PL8.1.7)
• Harness Assy VDO (J22-J223) (PL8.1.8)
Are they compatible with your printer version, correctly
installed, not damaged, deformed, or contaminated?

PWBA HKB PS (PL10.1.17) ANALYSIS
Switch ON Main Power.
Is there +5VDC between P281-7 and P281-8 on the on the
PWBA HKB 5VDC?

ROS MOTOR POWER SUPPLY ANALYSIS
Disconnect P/J21 from the PWBA HKB26 MCU.
Switch ON Main Power.
Determine the print resolution of the printer, and take the corre-
sponding voltage readings between P21-11 and P21-10 on the
PWBA HKB26 MCU.
Is there +24VDC between P21-11 and P21-10?

SOS PWB POWER SUPPLY ANALYSIS
Is there +5VDC between P21-7 and P21-9 on the PWBA
HKB26 MCU?

Replace the PWBA HKB26 MCU.
Is the problem still present?

HARNESS ASSY ROS (J21-J211, J212, J213) (PL8.1.7)
ANALYSIS
Is there continuity (0Ω) between all wires on J21 and
J212?
Is there continuity (0Ω) between all wires on J21 and
J211?
Is there continuity (0Ω) between all wires on J21 and
J213?
