6.5 Temperature Sensor Failure

1
INITIAL ANALYSIS
Inspect the following components.
• Fuser Assy (PL 6.1.7)
• Harness Assy Fuser-M (J271, J11, J27, J262) (PL6.1.12)
• Temperature Sensor Assy
• PWBA HKB26 MCU (PL10.1.13)
• PWBA HKB LVPS (PL10.1.17)
Are they compatible with your printer version, correctly
installed, not damaged, deformed, or contaminated?

TEMPERATURE SENSOR ANALYSIS
Inspect the Thermistor.
Is the Temperature Sensor damaged, deformed, or con-
taminated?

TEMPERATURE SENSOR ANALYSIS
Switch OFF printer power.
Allow the Fuser Assy to cool to room temperature.
Check the continuity between J27-1 and J27-2.
Is there approximately 2MΩ between J27-1 and J27-2?
