Chapter 4 — Operating the Library

Power On the Library

To power on the library, press and hold the front panel power button

Wait while the library completes its power-on sequence, which takes about
five minutes, depending on the library configuration. During the power-on
sequence, the library initializes all of its installed components.

Power Off the Library

To power off the library, press and hold the front panel power button
(Figure
flashing. The power-off sequence takes approximately one minute while
the library allows applications to shut down gracefully.

ESETTING THE
During some types of troubleshooting operations and when you make
changes to certain library configuration settings (for example, the web
server port) you must reset (reboot) the library before the changes take
effect.
Do not reset the library unless you are specifically instructed to do so. Trace data

making diagnosing problems difficult.
Use the following steps to reset the library.
