Gather Tools and Supplies

You must have the following to complete this procedure:
A #1 Phillips screwdriver
A #2 Phillips screwdriver
A new LCM module
Note:
After removing the new LCM from its packaging, keep the packaging to
return the old LCM to Spectra Logic.

Power off the Library

To power off the library, press and hold the front panel power button
approximately six seconds or until the button's LED starts flashing. The power-off
sequence takes approximately one minute while the library allows applications to shut
down gracefully (see

Note:
If you intend to leave the library powered down for an extended length
of time, set the main power switches on the back of the library to the off
position.

Remove the Rear Cover

The rear panel components are shielded by a protective cover
remove this cover when replacing the LCM.
