Configuring an F-QIP Partition
Use an F-QIP partition when you want to connect the library and SCSI
drives to a Fibre Channel network. You can also use an F-QIP partition if
you want use native Fibre Channel drives in the partition and need the
additional functionality provided by the F-QIP. In this type of partition, the
F-QIP provides the control path for SCSI motion commands from the host
to the transporter and relays library inventory information to the host.
Data transfer to the native Fibre Channel drives continues to be through
the Fibre Channel ports on the drive itself.
Configure the Drives and Chambers for the Partition

Note:
You cannot use QIP-attach SCSI drives and direct-attach Fibre
Channel drives in the same partition.
