1. Place a container under the drain
plug(s) to receive oil.
2. Remove the filler plug to discharge
the oil into the container.
3. After installing the drain plug by
tightening it to the specified torque,
refill the rear axle case with new oil
through the filler plug hole up to the
lower edge of the filler plug hole.
Drain plug tightening torque
48 N·m (4.9 kgf·m/35 lb·ft) or more
ADVICE
• Any dirt on the plug should be wiped
off before removing or installing it.
4. Install and tighten the filler plug to the
specified torques.
Plug tightening torque
48 - 67 N·m
(4.9 - 6.8 kgf·m/35 - 49 lb·ft)
