Adjusting the Lining Gap

FG941 (MFS66) /RS23/RT40 Type
Axles
1. Prevent the vehicle from moving by
applying chocks both in front of and
behind the wheels.
2. Start the engine and release the
parking brake.
3. Disengage a pull pawl or remove a
conventional pawl.
4. Turn the adjusting nut in the direction
shown in the figure at the left until
the lining touches the drum, and then
turn the adjusting nut 1/2 turn in the
opposite direction.
5. Measure the distance from the center
of the clevis pin to the bottom of the
air chamber.
