Exhaust brake indicator light
Conditions for Inoperable Exhaust Brake
Under the following conditions, the exhaust brake does not engage.
• The accelerator pedal or the clutch pedal is pressed.
• The gearshift lever is in the "N" position.
• The vehicle is traveling at 5 km/h (3 MPH) or lower speeds.
NOTE
The exhaust brake may disengage during ABS operation even when the
exhaust brake switch is in the "ON" position and the exhaust brake indicator
light is on. The exhaust brake may disengage temporarily as the vehicle passes
over a bump even when the brake pedal is not depressed.
Exhaust Brake Switch
To apply the exhaust brake while driving,
pull the lever rearward. The exhaust brake
indicator light comes on. To disengage the
exhaust brake, press the accelerator pedal
or the clutch pedal. Releasing the pedal
reengages the exhaust brake.
When you use the exhaust brake,the
cruise control cannot be set.Turn off
the exhaust brake switch
CAUTION
It is extremely dangerous to apply
the exhaust brake on slippery roads
(with their surfaces covered with
compacted snow, frozen, or wet) as
the tyres can skid.
ADVICE
If a warning buzzer sounds when
the exhaust brake is in operation,
promptly pull over the vehicle safely
and contact the nearest Isuzu
Dealer for inspection.
