One-way Clutch/Parking Gear
Disassembly/lnspection/Reassembly
1.
Separate countershaft 1 st gear from the parking
gear by turning the parking gear in the direction
shown.
2.
Remove the one-way clutch by prying it up with the
end of a screwdriver.

Inspect the parts as follows:

After the parts are assembled, hold countershaft
1st gear and turn the parking gear in the direction
shown to be sure it turns freely.
