Sum Bus Assignments
Bus assignments can also be programmed onto fader strip MF Keys. This allows an operator to directly assign a
source to a bus from its fader strip. The four self-labelling MF Keys (MF Key 1, 1b, 2 and 2b) are ideal for this
function:
1.
Assign the summing busses to the 20 "Aux" bus positions as described earlier.
2.
Select the source from the 'Tree Definition' and select the Keys tab.
3.
Assign the Aux Off, Aux Pre and Aux Post control signals to the MF Key lamp states (from the Keys
menu tab). You should end up with three states for the MF Key:
4.
Select a colour for each state from the Color drop-down menus, and enter a label in the MF 1 Label field
– e.g. SUM1.
Once you transfer this configuration and assign this source to a fader strip, the MF Key 1 should be labeled
SUM1, and cycle through 3 states:
·
Green = bus assign to SUM 1 off.
·
Red = bus assign to SUM 1 pre-fader.
·
Yellow = bus assign to SUM 1 post-fader.
5.
Repeat for other sources in the configuration as required.
