Proceed only if you have been directed to this procedure from a step in a
maintenance procedure. Using this procedure independently may cause
equipment damage or loss of service.
Locate the line drawer containing the line card to be removed.
Open the line drawer to prepare to remove the faulty card by following the steps
below:
a. Face the drawer shelf and grasp the handle at the bottom of the drawer
with the right hand.
b. Push up on the drawer latch with your thumb and pull the drawer out until
fully withdrawn. It is fully withdrawn when the drawer stop, at the top,
prevents further travel.
c. Ensure that a card shroud and line card extractor are available. (See note
at end of this procedure.)
