1. Remove the brake pump without discon­
necting the connected brake lines, in order
to release the brake servo rod from the
pump.
2. Release the injection wiring bundle from
the retaining clip, then disconnect the va­
cuum intake line from the brake servo.
3. Working from inside the cabin, remove the
left foot rest, located beside the clutch
pedal.
4. Remove the bolt retaining the lower steer­
ing column to the power steering box pin­
ion.
5. Remove the steering column reinforce­
ment bar by unscrewing the retaining
bolts indicated in the figure.
