1. Fit the engine support crossbeam
1860851000 and the special adaptor
1860851001 at the appropriate mounting
points.
a. Front mounting: fit the tool in the bon­
net catch seating, so that it rests on the
front cross member.
b. Rear mounting: fit the tool level with
the central reinforcement of the fire-
-proof bulkhead.
c. Secure the cross member hook to the
eye positioned previously, near the
thermostat.

Remove the starter motor by undoing its
bolts; then move the starter motor to one
side, securing it, taking care not to dam­
age the supply cables.
