M A X DEF function switch
A special switch activates t h e M A X DEF
function: it is located on the distribution
knob: it is an IM.A. contact w h i c h is closed
w i t h the knob completely turned in a clock­
wise direction.
Mixture electrical actuator
The adjustment of the temperature of the
treated air is carried out t h r o u g h the actuator
w h i c h mixes the hot air and the cold air act­
ing on the flap w h i c h either does or does not
send the f l o w of air entering the heater radia­
tor, through w h i c h the hot water coming
from the engine passes t h r o u g h .
A motor w i t h a 12 V supply controls the ro­
tary movement of a drive pin w h i c h acts d i ­
rectly on the mixture flap. A potentiometer
detects the actual positionand acts as "feed­
back" to the control unit.
Total rotation angle between max. hot and
max. cold = 62°
Ratio u/U for max. hot = 0.707
Ratio u/U for max. cold = 0,26
Electrical recircuiation actuator
The outside air intake flap is rotated by means
of the recircuiation actuator w h i c h acts on
the flap itself moving from position (A) "dy­
namic air" t o position (B) "recircuiation".
There are NO intermediate positions.
A motor w i t h a 12 V supply controls the ro­
tary movement of a drive pin w h i c h acts d i ­
rectly on the flap. Reversing the polarity re­
sults in a movement in the opposite direction.
