MILOMETER
With the ignition ON, the milometer displays
the total or partial mileage (by pressing the
special button).
If the button is pressed for longer than 0.7
seconds, the trip meter is zeroed
OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE
On versions fitted with climate control it is
possible, by pressing the button in the c o n
sole for at least 1 second, to display the out
side temperature (in °C), w h i c h is shown for
about 10 seconds; the instrument automati
cally returns to the milometer function.
If the outside temperature is below +3°C, it is
displayed FLASHING for about 10 seconds
in order to attract the driver's attention to the
possibility of it being icy.
When the 10 seconds have elapsed, the dispay automatically returns to the milometer state for 20 sec
onds and then the outside temperature is flashed for 10 seconds.
The sequence described above is known as the "warning cycle".
This takes place only once after the detection of an outside temperature below + 3 °C and can only be re
peated after the outside temperature goes above 6 °C and then below 3 °C.
With the ignition ON and the outside temperature below 3 °C the instrument displays the "warning cy
cle" for the first 10 seconds.
If, during the first 10 seconds after the ignition is switched on, the outside temperature button is
pressed, the "warning cycle" does not take place and the switching tothe outside temperature state is
immediate.
Pressing the zeroing button during the warning cycle has the following effect:
Pressing the button for 1 second whilst the temperature is displayed causes the "warning cycle" to stop;
pressing it for 1 second during the 20 seconds w h e n the mileage is displayed causes the zeroing of the
trip meter, but does not interrupt the "warning cycle".
The milometer display is also used to carry out a fault diagnosis of the thermostatically
adjusted
air conditioning
electronic system (see group
