divided fragments alternately. In this way, voice packets can be processed timely
and smoothly and delay can be reduced.
Follow these steps to configure Frame Relay fragmentation
To do...
Enter system view
Enter Frame Relay class view
Enable Frame Relay
fragmentation function
n
After configuration, associate the Frame Relay PVC where fragmentation is to
■
be applied to this Frame Relay class, and enable FRTS to have frame relay
fragmentation take effect.
MFR interfaces do not support FRF.12 fragmentation. If the interfaces at two
■
ends of a connection are MFR interfaces, the configuration of FRF.12
fragmentation does not work. Packets are sent out either interface without
fragmentation and can be received by the connected interface. In addition, the
connected interface can be pinged. If the local MFR interface is connected to a
serial interface encapsulated with FR, FRF.12 fragmentation does not work at
the local end and packets are sent out without fragmentation. On the
connected interface, however, FRF. 12 can work.
After the above configuration, execute display commands in any view to display
the running of the frame relay after configuration and to verify the effect of the
configuration.
