Network requirements
Agent is connected to a console terminal through its console port and to an NMS
installed with Quidview system across Ethernet. The router is monitored using
RMON. You can view the operating state of the router on the NMS.
Do the following:
Create an entry in the RMON alarm table to perform sampling on node
1.3.6.1.2.1.16.1.1.1.4.1 at intervals of five seconds. When an alarm event
occurs, send a trap to the specified NMS community.
Gather statistics on the Ethernet 1/0.
Query statistics on the NMS and execute the display rmon statistics
command on Agent for the same purpose.
