Configure an RD for the VPN

Enable IP multicast routing
By running multiple instances on each PE device, you enable the PE device to work
for multiple VPNs. You need to configure the same share-group address for the
same VPN instance on different PE devices. Once a share-group and an MTI
number are configured, the system automatically creates an MTI, binds the
share-group address to the MTI and binds the MTI to the current VPN instance.
Follow these steps to configure a share-group and an MTI binding:

Enter system view
Enter VPN instance view
Configure a share-group
address and an MTI binding
After sending a switching notification, the VPN instance on the source-side PE
device typically waits a period of time to ensure that all the PE devices that need
the multicast stream can receive this notification and response with a (*,
switch-group) join message. Then, the source-side PE device starts using the
switch-group address to replace the share-group address for encapsulating the
private network multicast data, and sends the encapsulated data to the public
instance. The data is then forwarded down the switch-MDT.
MDT switching delay refers to the length of time during which the traffic rate
stays higher than the MDT switching threshold before the traffic is switched
from the share-MDT to the switch-MDT.
Backward MDT switching delay refers to the length of time during which the
traffic rate stays lower than the MDT switching threshold before the traffic is
switched from the switch-MDT back to the share-MDT.
