Configuring the maximum available bandwidth on the interface

The maximum available bandwidth discussed here refers to the maximum
interface bandwidth used when CBQ enqueues packets, rather than the actual
bandwidth of the physical interface.
Follow these steps to configure the maximum available bandwidth on the
Interface

Configure the maximum
available bandwidth on the
Interface
Before the maximum available bandwidth of various interfaces is configured, the
reference bandwidth used in counting CBQ is as follows:
For physical interface, the value is the actual baud rate or rate;
For logical serial interfaces generated through binding, such as T1/E1 and MFR,
the value is the total bandwidth of the bound channel;
For logical interfaces such as virtual template and VE, the value is 0 kbps.
It is recommended that the maximum available bandwidth be smaller than the
actual available bandwidth of physical interface or logical link.
Modification of the maximum available bandwidth may trigger CBQ
reconstruction, thus resulting in CBQ's reallocation of queue width. The
modification of the baudrate or speed of a physical interface, however, does
not trigger this reconstruction process.
To apply QoS policies to a logical interface properly, you must use the
shutdown command to shut down all the physical interfaces bound to the
logical interface and then use the undo shutdown command to bring up
these physical interfaces again.
Configuration example
1 Network requirement
Configure the maximum available bandwidth on the interface to 60 kbps.
2 Configuration procedure
# Enter system view.
<Sysname> system-view
# Enter interface view.
