Pump Module: In the Drug Calculation mode, the system
infuses at the calculated rate rounded to the nearest one-
hundredth of a mL per hour (as displayed on the programming
screen). The rate shown in the Rate Display is rounded to the
nearest one-tenth of a mL per hour.
Syringe Module: Starting the infusion before attaching the
administration set to the patient minimizes any potential bolus
that can be released from pressure built up in the set due to
normal syringe loading and priming.
1. Set up infusion as described in "Continuous Infusion -
Drug Calculation" procedure, but do not start infusion.
