5.5.2 Interdependency of Column Pressure and Maximum Flow Rate

5.5.2.1 NC Pump with a ProFlow Flow Meter
Overview
Each flow channel of the ProFlow flow meter comprises a closed control loop that includes
the pump (nos. 1a and 1b) and a thermal flow sensor (nos. 5a and 5b). The flow sensors
measure the current flow rates and the pump speeds are controlled so that the flow rates
match the set values. Both partial flows are mixed in a microfluidic Y piece (no. 6) at the
flow meter outlet.
